Infrared Sauna

Updated: Jun 13, 2022

What does an infrared sauna do?

This type of sauna is sometimes called a far-infrared sauna — “far” describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. A traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air, which in turn warms your body. An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you.

Several studies have looked at using infrared saunas in the treatment of chronic health problems, such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, headache, type 2 diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis, and found some evidence of benefit.

Other benefits of infrared sauna include:

  • Improves skin health and appearance

  • Sleep improvement

  • Helps blood circulation

  • Reduces muscle soreness and body aches

  • Helps with weight loss

How long does the treatment take and is there any down time?

Before coming in for your infrared sauna we recommend removing all metal items and wearing comfortable clothing. Drink plenty of water and then come in and relax.

You will have the room to yourself and a bell will be placed by your side in case you need any assistance.

Maximum recommended time is 30 minutes and there’s no down time , making it the perfect lunch time treatment.
